Course Overview	This course will challenge the students’ ability to synthesize and interpret selected readings. It will also allow individuals to further their thesis research (in the case of second-year students) or to begin to explore potential topics for research (in the case of first-year students). Kenkyūsei may also participate and will have a reduced number of presentations required. This class requires about 3.5 hours of preparation for each class hour each week. Readings will be chosen that engage all participants in the class on a methodological level. Permission must be given for participation in this class.
