This course comprises a series of workshops in the fields of Japanese religions, art and architectureal history and cultural studies, and literature and history. Guest speakers who are recognized world specialists in their fields will conduct sessions with students followed by roundtables with current IMAP visiting faculty and core IMAP faculty members. Some workshops will take a lecture and discussion format, others a presentation forum, others a classroom style setting. Excursions will be planned for each of the three groupings.
