Course Overview |
This required course for first-year students in the IMAP program builds on the skills acquired in Research, Readings, and Methods I. Students will continue to develop the practical specialist knowledge and skills needed for research in Japanese art history, literature, religious studies, and history. We will meet regularly to analyze and review assignments given in the Fall semester, discuss methodology, and shape student research interests. Students will start to prepare for their Master's thesis through consultation with their advisor(s) and guided self-study; they will write, revise, and present drafts of the Master’s Thesis Proposal.
