| Course Overview |
This fieldwork course provides students with the necessary knowledge and basic perspectives for human geography. Students taking this course will participate in five one-day field trips (in April, June, October, November, and February) on foot to various sites such as Shinto shrines, ancient remains, and modern factories in several cities or rural areas within Fukuoka Prefecture and neighboring regions. Students are expected to enjoy long walking distances which reach over about fifteen or twenty kilometers in each trip. This is a one-year course (credits will be given in March 2018).

Students are expected to participate in all the five field-trips with Japanese undergraduate students of the human geography course and prepare English presentation papers as brief guides to trip sites except for the first trip in April. Details including the date and time schedule as well as a topic and deadline for a presentation paper of each trip will be informed beforehand via email. |
