Course Overview A master’s thesis is required of all students. During the Master’s Thesis Guidance seminar students will encounter advanced methodologies, use new source materials, and further develop scholarly research and writing skills. Participants will make regular presentations in order to develop a mutually supportive and productive scholarly cohort through peer review and critique. As this is a yearlong course, this syllabus will be updated for the spring term.

Course Plan Textbooks : No textbook is used. Readings will be distributed by instructor when necessary.
Reference Books : Books related to writing a master's thesis are available in the IMAP Seminar Room.
Course Handouts : Handouts and supplementary materials will be uploaded to the course Dropbox.
