Course Overview |
On this course we shall be reading a selection of the work of the English poet Philip Larkin (1922-1985). We shall read and discuss one or two poems each week. All members of the class will be expected to have read the poem/s, and to contribute to class discussion. We shall also discuss the literary, biographical, historical and political context of the poems, reading poetry that influenced Larkin, as well as poetry that Larkin influenced.
