Course Overview This course aims to develop one of the most important skills in English-language culture: the ability to think critically about issues affecting our lives. Each week, we shall discuss topics taken from a variety of printed and electronic resources. This course will seek to improve your analytical and speaking skills, and your ability to pursue independent lines of research. You will be encouraged to bring your own materials to discuss in class. There will be an opportunity to undertake short research projects and make presentations based on the findings.
