Course Overview  This course aims to understand After the War Japan-R.O. Korea relations. In particular, it aims to understand the history of Japan-R.O.Korea normalization talks (Japan-Korea talks). After we overview the flow of post-war Japan-R.O. Korea relationship history, issues, and research topics, we discuss the problem concerning basic relations, property and claims, legal status and treatment of Koreans living in Japan, and cultural assets. The course also touches on relevant topics in Japan and R.O.Korea of today.
