Course Overview Don DeLillo is considered one of the major American novelists of the past 50 years. White Noise is considered one of his major novels, having been awarded the National Book Award in 1988. His works which have focused on everything from the Kennedy assassination to rock music idols, have given an interesting picture of American culture at the time of their composition. He is known also for his style, but primarily is considered a postmodernist. Postmodernism is a term not easily defined, so we will be discussing some definitions of this term and whether DeLillo really fits into it, but primarily focus on other aspects
