Course Overview This course is designed to help students get acquainted with the diversity of American and British cultures, especially as these cultures have a direct impact on their understanding of the English language. As one will discover, these cultures have plenty in common – but they show some striking differences as well. This course is designed to show the diverse peoples, traditional cultures, and the current social and cultural diversions (e.g., pop culture, music, and humor) that have made a mark in both America and Britain.
