Course Overview

In this chapter we shall deal with the question of “plasticity” in poetry, and the evolution of the term in some of Pierre Reverdy’s and Gherasim Luca’s works. Our focus will be not only on the uniqueness of the so called “livre de dialogue” (books of poetry and painting), which represents the dialogue between arts and poetry, but also on the way in which the text is represented in a given “space” (such as the page) and the role the signs play, as graphical representations of these 20th century poetical creations.
