Course Overview This course is an intermediate course of articulatory phonetics,; describing how speech sounds (vowels and consonants) are made, and transcribing speech sounds using IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet). The language we will try to describe is an exotic language for us Japanese. On the basis of above-mentioned phonetic description, phonological analyses will be made.
