Course Overview

Concepts on the relationship of people have attracted attention in recent years.As a term peculiar to Japan,kyousei shakai(cohesive society) can be cited.And concepts such as social capital and social inclusion are introduced from other countries.In this lecture,we will discuss contemporary society,taking into consideration the relationship of concepts concerning such relationship of people with "quality of life",welfare, subjective wellbeing,happiness,needs,capabilities,and so on .Furthermore,while paying attention to the social system theory which emphasizes interrelationship of each entity,we clarify systemological point of view for cohesive phenomena and discuss the policy for kyousei shakai(cohesive society).
