Course Overview The Greek we will study is the language used by the Athenians in the fifth and fourth centuries B.C. Learning Classical Greek will also help you to read Homer and the New Testament in Greek.

The Greek sequence (Classical Greek I,II) is designed to introduce you to Greek Classics. You will acquire certain linguistic knowledge and skills (e.g. pronunciation, vocabulary, morphology and syntax), and understand the culture that produced the classical literature.

You need to attend class every week, prepared and ready to participate actively.
