| Course Overview |
We will study an aspect of Victor Hugo's work, the one who shows him to us as a poet. We shall so explore his political commitment with texts pulled from the collection Les Châtiments, which will reveal its satiric and polemical talent. Extracts of Les Contemplations we shall make discover Hugo's more intimate facet, but we shall also reveal the passion of the author for the meditations and the mystic and metaphysical musing, encouraging the reader to sound the invisible worlds. |
