Course Overview

Reconsideration of the literary acts of Stéphane Mallarmé. By reading Mallarmé's texts from the beginning to the end of his life, you will grasp his literary act with the situation of French poetry at the end of the 19th century. You must also understand the relationship between the poet and society. After an introduction, we read carefully and chronologically some poems and proses critics of this poet avec explication their topos of writing and social context. And let's discuss a lot ! Reconsideration des actes littétraires de Stéphane Mallarmé. Par la lecture des textes de Mallarmé à partir du début à la fin de sa vie, vous allez saisir son acte littéraire avec la situation de la poésie française à la fin du 19eme siecle. Vous devez aussi comprendre la relation entre le poète et la société. Après une introduction, nous lisons soigneusement et chronologiquement quelques poemes et proses critiques de Mallarmé en expliquant leur lieu d'ecrire et contexte social.
