| Course Overview |
This course will take up representative classical literary works as main texts and examine important points for interpretation. Epic, lyric, and dramatic works, which incorporate the myth of Io, a woman who had to roam from Greece to Egypt, will be examined from comparative perspective and characteristics of each work will be discussed. This course as a whole purports to serve as an introduction of Greco-Roman classical studies, by enhancing the awareness of the genre and historical-cultural backgrounds of the main texts. |
