Course Overview |
In this lecture, various Buddhist sculptures that come to Kyushu will be taken up in order of time, and the differences will be clarified by comparing with central works such as Nara and Kyoto. Also, the background of the differences in the expression and form of the work is considered from the context of the relationship between Kyushu and the central, the relationship with China and the Korean Peninsula, or religious traditions within Kyushu Island.
