| Course Overview |
The aim of this course is for students to understand the relationship between American popular culture and critical theory. Lectures will be given on a variety of classic Disney films, with special emphasis on Dumbo. Also, the course will explore the ways in which Disney’s multicultural awareness provides a powerful commentary on American society. Students will be required to write a short response paper on the lectures every day during the four-day intensive course. |
