| Course Overview |
The course considers English grammar from the viewpoints of generative syntax. The focus will be on analyzing some English constructions including resultatives, double objectives, locative inversions, on the basis of the standard verbal hierarchical structure and a new semantic role theory. The course also considers Japanese grammar and some Japanese constructions. |
