| Course Overview |
・Using a work of Heian period narrative literature as a subject, students will read it using a commentary method and present problems and their solutions. This term, we will read the 12th chapter of "The Tale of Genji", "Suma". ・Through appraisal of story content and consideration of the influence relationship with surrounding works, basic knowledge of medieval literature in general will be taught. ・It is recommended that you take this class together with the "Ancient Japanese Literature (Seminar III)" in the first semester. |
