Writings of detour – In a modern world where everything has to be for the benefit of speed, performance and efficiency, this class aims to put into question the place that is granted by modern and contemporary literature to the detour. We will study the different roles bestowed upon detour through French language texts and fine arts. The great symbols of detour found in literature and art shall also be discussed. |
